Capturing motherhood is by far the favourite thing about photography.
And that pregnancy glow?
Wow. Its seriously the most amazing thing to get behind the camera and shoot.
The way I like to run my maternity sessions is to start off with some family portraits. I have the perfect little spot only about 10 minutes from Camden where we take a stroll down a long, beautiful dirt path, pop down on a picnic rug amongst some long grass, head up to a beautiful fence line that has a vista off to the mountains, and walk down a gorgeous track looking at all the ducks in the pond as the sun sets behind you and glows through the trees. There is so much variety in shots and set ups and plenty of room for the little ones to run around and keep them entertained.
About 45 minutes into the session we head to the top of the pond and this is where I'll usually suggest dad takes the little ones off to feed the ducks and you change into something sheer or open. This is where we really capture you and this pregnancy!
It's a quick 10 minutes, with some light direction from me, as the sun sets behind you.
Just you and your babe safe and sound inside of you.

The way I light these sessions is different to my newborns. I play a lot more with the lighting and shadows to end up with the most gorgeous contrast which beautifully highlights your body. I’ll tell you exactly where and how to stand to get incredible photos like the one you see here.
